The active ingredient in Diff (Zinsser) is an enzyme that works by digesting (breaking down) the organic contents of wallpaper pastes. It can't harm your drain or sink. Diff is not a volatile solvent or harsh chemical. You may use enzyme action cleaners in laundry or stain removal.
