stripping paper Posted by Tricia on July 10th, 2003 10:58 AM In reply to Wallpaper Stripping by Leeann on June 17th, 2000 05:24 PM [Go to top of thread]
I understand and just went through the same thing. Ultimately, I read and tried many, many different things and was out a lot of moey because everyone had some gadget or adhesive remover that was supposed to work. Finally I called a friend who is a contractor. They came in and sanded all the rough parts, floated the seams of the remaining wallpaper, and then applied a spray on texture that resembles an orange peel. Finally, I was able to paint. Some wallpaper, especially layered or old wallpaper, won't budge no matter what you put on it! As far as that tiger wallpaper scorer, be very careful. If you press too hard , it leaves hideous indentions all over. I'd say don't bother with it. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
