Hi, Wendi. The process of getting the odor out should be about the same for either carpeting or concrete, just easier on the latter.
Start by sponging on some white vinegar and let it dry for a couple of hours. Then sprinkle some baking soda over the area, let that set for a day or so and vacuum or sweep that up.
There are some enzyme solutions that you can get at a pet store that will do the same as the vinegar but the vinegar will work about as well and is cheaper and more available. But you might try that if the vinegar doesn't seem to be working.
