Without seeing it, no one here can tell you whether or not it's something *you* can do. But it is possible... You'll have to dig & pour new footings - one for the column and another for the *other* column you need to put in. If you move a column 30 inches in one direction, you need to put one somewhere in the opposite direction. And depending on the beam it's supporting, you may need a header betwen the two columns or steel reinforcement...

It's a big job & unless you know what you're doing, I wouldn't recommend that you do it yourself.
