Brick Mailbox questions

Posted by Brian M. Schanuel on July 17th, 2003 09:41 AM

I have a brick mailbox that was hit by a flatbed semi while backing down the street. It fell over but stayed in tact. Other than the chips in the brick, would there be any long term residual damage? The contractor is trying to only pay half the replacement value. He says it doesn't need to be replaced since it is still in one piece and doesn't looked damaged from the outside. It also rocks on the footing since we stood it back up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
