I have asked lumber yard employees(salesmen)and other people who have installed the siding about how to nail it on. I would like to know what is recommended by the manufacturers of the Hardi Plank siding. I will be using the 8 1/4" wide 7" lap siding. Is a Paslode roofing coil nailer an acceptable application method? How long should the nails be? If the coil nailer is not acceptable, what shoul be used?
