Greetings,

I have had problems in the past with the heat cooking the paint on the metal door. (The metal door was painted brown.) You should use a light color.

What I have done is simple, I drilled three vent hole at the top of the door to let the heat out.

Now, this does not remove all the heat and the door will still perfom it's job, It will just not over heat.

Depending on what you have over the door, you may have to build a small deverter to keep the rain from coming in.

Good luck
Jason
