I am looking at an older condominium that has a kitchen that is 13x12 that is in need of opening up. It is very dark and not very efficient. It opens (with a small window) onto the dining area. Of the four walls:
Wall 1 - Has a laundry room and small shelving unit.
Wall 2 - Has a door opening onto the hallway, a small counter (maybe 12 inches wide) and the refrigerator.
Wall 3 - Has a stove, sink and diswasher with cupboards above and a window over the sink looking into the great room - dining area.
Wall 4 - Has a garage service door on it and is inbetween the laundry room and facing stove.
If this is at all understandable could anyone tell me what I would expect to pay to remodel it so that I could open it up to the great room. Maybe with an island.... Help!
Also - it has a small main bath with a tub, and sink and toilet that is completely tiled in dark brown. Would it be possible to remove that tile and redo it for a reasonable amount.
The home is a perfect size other than these two problems.
I would appreciate any help I could get.
