Hardwood floor for house

i have purchased a house 30 years old with all the
floors having either lino or rugs.
i want to replace the floor covering with hardwood
flooring ie 3/4 inch thick, T@G, oak, prefinished. Is there a website with a tutorial on installing hardwood
flooring? Also, the interior doors are ribbon grain mahogonay with
a rather dark stain. I plan to remove all the door jambs,
sand everything down and then put a clear coating on them.
I dont want to stain the wood. Am I doing the rite thing
by redoing these jambs/doors?
