I have an interesting new patent apllied for molded plastic step flashing. The "stepped" tabs are molded in stips as long as 5 feet and are installed against the wall before the shingles. The shingles are then slipped under each tab. This disign saves time and the plastic material, the same as used on roof ridge vents, will not corrode, and seals better than metal flashing.
