Getting paint off a beautiful old sink

Posted by louise on July 23rd, 2003 12:28 AM

I just moved into a place built in 1925. A previous tenant thought it was a good idea to PAINT the gorgeous old sink. It's been peeling off and it looks to be a very pretty grey porcelain , and I've been able to scrape much of the paint off with just a scraper. But some doesn't want to come off--

How else can I get it off? Stripper? I've never used paint stripper on anything but wood furniture before.
