I have removed the "Martin" wood burning fireplace insert in my home and wanted to know if you have any tips on masonry construction. The "Do's & Dont's". I will be using Cultured stone for the face, but my concern is protecting the existing interior stucture from the heat. Is a dry wall box faced with fire-brick sufficient?
