In the eye of the beholder...? Posted by John 2000 on October 11th, 1999 03:40 PM In reply to kitchen cabinets by kelly on October 11th, 1999 02:44 PM [Go to top of thread]
Kelly, Hi", To make the "new doors" look as if they are a part of the a set,and not somthing put on later, is the trick... This what I would do..take the china cabinet door, along with the new doors to a carpenters shop, there is one just down the road from you, let the carpenter look at the doors and set them out on his workbench, he will then work out how much to cut from thr middle of the doors for the glass, he will then give you an idea of what it will look like. By giving the carpenter the china cabinet door he will have an idea of how much to cut out for the glass, you will also know if it feels right when you are looking at them, (you may want the opening bigger/smaller) Dont forget, the carpenter dose not live at your home, you do, so you tell him what you want. I hope it goes well for you..... John 2000
