Paslode not firing

Please help...very frustrated...We have a Paslode Impulse and it is not working every time. It'll fire 2 or 3 times in a row, then nothing for the next dozen fires. The fan is going and we can smell the fuel everytime, but nothing fires. We've charged the battery, replaced fuel cell, changed nails, but nothing helped and it seems like its getting worse. From looking on the internet, I see that this is a common problem with this model, but nowhere does anyone talk about what causes this or how to fix. Does anyone know of an easy fix before we call the manufacturer or put money into a repair???? Could it be the spark plug? Please Help!!!!! Thanks
