uneven sub floor - can mushy floating floor be fixed after install? Posted by Suzie on July 27th, 2003 08:33 AM
We laid Harris Tarkett Longstrip on a concrete subfloor which we now know was far from even. We have mushy, sinking, flexing areas and I can't imagine trying to sell this house one day with that. After laying, is there ANYTHING that can be done to fill in the voids under the floor? i.e., shooting foam or some other product under there to expand and harden? We have not yet finished off with molding and everything in hopes of one day figuring out what to do without tossing out the whole floor and starting over. Really desperate for help.
