I've decided, before I finish my basement, to install a backup (battery) sump pump. And my question relates to 'how' to install the pump. I've seen different designs, from separate pipes (in case they're both working, less restriction on how much water can be pumped-out), to different types of single pipe installs. In my application, I'd rather go single pipe, but where to install??? This link is one design that calls for two check valves (http://www.plumbingwarehouse.com/images/spbs-12.gif). I've seen some with only one check valve. Any ideas are appreciated....Ed
