Hi,
In our 1920's house we discovered a beautiful ceramic tile floor under some vinyl flooring. Some leveling agent was applied before the vinyl flooring was placed down. We removed the vinyl ad have scraped away at alot of the leveler but there is still lots of leveler in the nooks and crannies and the grout lines. We have been slowly scrubbing away with a wire brush but it is very slow going. We have soaked it in water to speed the process. Does anyone know ifthere another solvent-like substance that might loosen the leveler without destroying the tile or its grout?
