Ejector Pit Leak - Patch or Replace? Posted by BTX on August 2nd, 2003 08:29 AM
I've discovered a small hole in my ejector pit, about the size of a pea, directly under the corrugated pipe draining into the pit. This explains the continuous cycling after a storm. What I would like to know now is whether I can simply patch this hole (it's high enough that it would dry out and enable me to do so) or whether I have to have the pit replaced. I am hesitant to replace the pit because of the mess, but more importantly, the noticeable work done around the pit and the potential for decreased home value???? Can I patch this hole with silicone or some special substance? Please help.
