I, too, really appreciate all your help in keeping the best home repair forum on the web going. And I am another that pre-dates the new board. Jay J and I had a lot of E-mails going back and forth then, trying to think of ways that we could keep this board.
For what it's worth, I did check out the new board several times and then put it on "ignore". And I'll second losing Bruce M. He was a pro that offered some good responses in a real easy manner. He is still missed and he taught me a lot.
