Denise........if they are pure bristle brushes - you can soak them in lacquer thinner - that will remove the paint - but is is very messy. If the brushes are polyester or nylon/polyester - you can't do this - the lacquer thinner will melt the bristles. Also - don't soak above the ferrule (the meatal band that holds the bristes to the handle) - the lacquer thinner will weaken the epoxy bond and the bristles will likely fall out.

Best thing to do is toss these - get some new ones - and make sure you clean them well the next time you use them!
