The rubber around my Neptune washer door melted the first time I used it. It ruined a $150 comforter. To their credit, Home Depot immediately brought me a new one. Within a year we had horrendous problems with mold. Maytag sent someone to replace the rubber lining. The guy had the nerve to scold us and say we must be using too much detergent. Now (a year later) the new lining is so coated with mold that I dread putting my clothes in or taking them out. I've had it with Maytag and want my money back. If it takes a class action suit, so be it. By the way, I'm a professional writer and am contemplating an article on the demise of Maytag's good reputation.
