I currently have a 12ft X 12ft Shop in the back yard and have decided to build a garage addition attached to it. The addition will be 11.5ft X 24.5ft. Due to the 8/12 pitch that will be used for the roof there will be enough room to turn the attic into a bonus room that will be 12ft X 14ft.
Since I am doing all of the work myself (masonry, framing, boxing and siding) I have no idea what this would cost if I were paying a contractor. I am considering refinancing my home after I finish the addition and I would like an idea of what the value of the addition would be.
The total cost for the materials has only been $3000.00. What have I saved in labor?
