removing thinset from back of ceramic tile

Posted by Dan on August 4th, 2003 08:55 AM

I have an old house with outdated tile. I am repairing a shower wall. I need to reuse the shower tiles for a repair because I can't find original replacment tiles due to age. Is there a way to remove the dried thinset (glue) from the back of ceramic tiles besides grinding or chipping it off?
