I am looking at a colonial home in the Fredericksburg Virginia area. I can stand in the middle of any room on the first floor, which is over a full walkout basement, and bounce up and down a few times, and everything in the room starts to shake. Is this bad construction, or just the way a floor is supposed to be, when over a basement?
