We just bought a fixer-upper, 1886 colonial. It had a drain pipe, without a downspout, which made a hole next to the rocks of the foundation. The house has sunk in that spot over the years. We have since averted the downspout and filled in the hole. However, the house has sink about 5 inches in that one corner. How do we jack up this portion? Any suggestions? Do we do it over time or all at once? Will we need to run another set of beams?
