deck stain

deck is only 12" off ground 22'x 12' pressure treated, 16 months old . have cleaned, looking at a semi- colored stain,a light green or ?. don't mind refreshing with a new coat yearly or bi. don't want one that leaves a hard [permanent] finish that has to be sanded off in a couple of years, which scares me of acrylic/water based stains. i just want to go out and apply a coat, no raiings just flat.
