we were just threatened with a forest fire and we have had a mother squirrel relocate her babys in our attic through our roof vent. She chewed a hole in the plastic side of the vent.

The baby's weren't that young as i was very close to one on the patio beam. They are about 5-6 inches long and looked like a normal pine squirrel except it looked scared. I did not realize that it was waiting for it's mother at the time.

She was packing them by the baby's wrapping themselves around her neck, her mouth holing part of them and her carrying them up onto the roof.

We have a trap, but are worried that we will trap mom, but how do we find the babies. How old are they before they will go out during the day and learn to eat seeds?

How do we find the babies up in the attic, I can hear them running in the soffits but don't know where she would have put them. We have a large A-frame home.

What do we do?

Thanks;,

Marlene
