what paint roller to use to apply kool sealer on metal roof

I have a metal roof on my moblie home. I do not know where to stand it on my roof to put kool seal on it.I use a ladder to lean against my trailer to apply sealer on my roof. What type of paint roller should I use and should it be for smooth surface, semi-smooth , rough surface or semi rough? What name brand should I use? Any help with this will be appreciate.
