Sorry for the BOLD Posted by Dan O'Neill on August 12th, 2003 02:48 PM In reply to Make/Model? by Dan O. on August 12th, 2003 02:46 PM [Go to top of thread]
My bad. My message should have looked like this:
** The water in my dishwasher is not draining. It goes through the cycles but there is always water at the bottom that is not draining. ... when he drained it from the bottom it was like little rocks coming out. **
A dishwasher should expel small items like that. If it isn't, there may be a problem in the drain line (plugged, kinked, too long, etc.) and/or in a part of the dishwasher itself.
If you post the brand name and model number right off your dishwasher, we can see if there are any components likely to be the cause of such a problem. You can find tips for locating the model number on your appliances in the 'Repair Parts' section of my site linked below.
** I had a handyman come **
It's usually best to get a trained appliance repair technician to look into appliance problems. A handyman (and even a plumber) may not be familiar with their workings and as such not be able to tell if their is an actual problem with it which needs to be corrected.
