Loose cedar roofing shingles Posted by Richard on October 21st, 1999 02:04 AM
The house I bought was originally built in-land and later moved to it's present location on a salt water bay. The nails holding down the cedar shingle roof are almost rusted away from the moist salt air. The shingles are ten years old and in such good condition even my roofer says it would be a crime to tear them off. We're waiting for an answer from the Cedar Bureau but does anyone have any ideas as to how to hold down those shingles?
