Kitchen Floor Covering -- Concrete Slab

Posted by Deanna on August 17th, 2003 09:58 AM

I need some ideas. My home (in Kansas) is built on a concrete slab. Extra thick carpet pad and premium carpet keep things nice and toasty in the winter. Had ceramic tile installed in the entryway...and it is beautiful but gets very cold in winter time.

Currently there is old carpet in the kitchen and I really really need to get rid of it. Not crazy about carpet in the kitchen (for cleaning reasons) so would appreciate any ideas.

The ceramic tile entry way is wonderful and cool in summertime, but do I really want this in the kitchen? Beautiful, but cold??

Thanks for any suggestions!
