My home is 100+ years old. The interior doors have old brass hardware on them. I am in the process of refinishing the doors and wish to restore the old hardward which is still in perfectly good working order. Someone told me to soak them in vinegar, but I'd like some advice on whether this will work. If it does, give me some advice on how to do it. If not, please give me some suggestions. Thank you.
