clean and seal decks

I need advise on correct procedure and products to use when cleaning and sealing a pressure treated wood deck. I read an article written by someone from t he pressure treated lumber association (I believe?) saying that you shouldn't use chlorine bleach nor scrub with a stiff wire brush to clean the deck. I know people that do this for a living and use that procedure all day long. Any thoughts on correct procedure to clean and seal a deck?
