Low Clearance Garage Door Dilemma

I am looking at purchasing a home that has an attached garage/workshop. It appears that the workshop was at one time a garage, but a wall has been built in closing off the garage door opening. It looks like when there was a door there, it was a roller type that moved from side-to-side--not up and down.

There is only about 7'4" from the floor to the "plate" (my dad used that terminology), so a standard garage door would not work, as there would not be enough clearance for the track, etc. I am trying to find other solutions to the door dilemma, so I could convert this space back into a garage.

Any ideas/help from anyone would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!!!
