Thank you for your timely responses. I am so appreciate of this board. It has helped me through many the many quandries facing homeowners (why don't they teach you this real life stuff in school instead of so much stuff most of us never use?)
Anyway, from what I'm gathering here and other places on the web a wood stove insert is a good source to heat a PART of your home. Not the entire home necessarily. That's just what I want. My upstairs is usually pretty comfortable.
Does anyone have any opinion on my eventually adding floor heat ducts (I certainly have the right sized unit to keep adding duct work as I was sold a much too large furnace/heat pump/ac unit; so huge that I have to run a dehumidifier in the basement to keep the condensation off the duct work - live and learn, I guess.)
