The time saved in applying the paint with a sprayer is lost to masking and cleanup. Spray applications are very efficient where large areas are to be covered with a single color. As you complicate the application by having to fully mask windows, doors, ceiling transitions, base boards and cover floors lights and other materials not to be painted, the time savings evaporate quickly. Does a great job on rough surfaces and is often done in new construction prior to installation of trim, finish floors and cabinets. It is very fast in this application.
