We moved in to a HUD repo a few years back, and there was an above ground pool in a terriable mess. We put an ad in the local free paper, and some one came to the house and disassembled it for us and paid us a few hundred bucks on top of all that.
Then we filled it in with dirt, and made a nice landscaping mound in its place.
In my opinion above ground pools are unsightly. And don't really ad to the value of the home.
