That's mighty undersized.......2-story!

You need to consult an engineer .....even the "lumberyard" I use does these in just a minute........They need to know where the header is located and the loads placed upon it.........The width of the building.....type of construction..........

also check the bearing and foundation for the beam ends.......To transfer the load........

Even under a Low/No load situation the pair of 2x10's is undersized.....

Grandpa's Rule of thumb:
12'......2-2x12's

I just checked "one" span-calc program and GUESS-TIMATED information:

.......Replacement Header for the center first floor support of a two story building of (?) width with a 12' opening carrying a live load (?)....

Could require a beam composed 4-2x12.....or of course a LVL ...........
