The 2x10 header is extremely undersized for he span and the second story load.

A 2x10 header can only span about 8 feet safely when bearing an upper story load.

Not even a 2x12 header would suffice in this case.

You'd be much better off with a glulam or steel beam for this span.

Consult and architect or engineer. This header needs to be changed.
