Thanks Bruce -- you solution s0unds like it may work for me -- the problem I had was that I couldn't get enough leverage/torque and your pipe idea should do it. ANother question: what product did you use to re-enamel? I have just spent days stripping off the badly applied previous re-enameling job (which I think started to peel b/c they just painted around the flange) and want to make sure that I use a good product after all this work!
