Well, I haven't called Timberpeg but I've tried my own method which is working unexpectedly well.
I've sort of treated it like a rug stain. I wet a paper towel (not dripping wet) and just rub the stain - the towel gets dirty, so I use another wet towel, etc. I finish by getting most of the water off the wall and allowing it to dry. I don't wet it a whole lot at one time, I think it's best to let it dry and come back and do it again if the stain is still bothersome. You don't want to create new watermarks by leaving a super wet wall. Sometime only a lite stain remains which blends in well with the woodgrain.
This worked really well on the especially dark stains.
So, as with most methods like this, try it in a hidden area first so you see what it does on your wood. Just go slowly at first, not a lot of water, until you understand what is necessary to remove the stain. My wood is pine. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
