NOTCHING 3/8 TEMPERED GLASS

I need to notch 4 tempered glass shelves that are 18 5/8 by 38 3/4, 3/8 inch thick. The notch at the end of each must be 1/4 X 3/4. Is this something I can do, I'm willing to buy a tool as I've got $200.00 invested in these shelves.
