After you read this question, you're probably asking yourself "Who are these people and why didn't they hire a someone who knows how to do stuff to do their stuff?" Anyway, we're in the process of installing doors in doorways where doors used to be but aren't now. The door we purchased was just that. A door. No hardware. We're purchasing that separately. Question: Is installing a door knob and a strike plate similar to installing a dead bolt? What about hinges? Don't I need to chisel the wood before putting them on? Any help, suggestions or insights will be deeply appreciated.
