removal of ceramic tiles in kitchen and hallway.

I would like to remove the ceramic tiles in my kitchen and hallway. What is the easiest way to accomplished this task.We bought this house 2 years ago, but I dislike the color of the tiles that were installed. I would like to replace the tiles with hardwood. thanks
