Stairs and what to do with them.??

"Hi", Tim. What Henry in Mi said will help you a lot. but if you
want to do it my way, OK.
take an 8x4 sheet of hardboard lay it on the ground, draw the sizes
you are working with on it and you can then see where you are going wrong
on small jobs I do that all the time, it saves time.
You can work out the rise, and the go, of your stairs better, and can make chages
to suit.
