I can tell you that my previous employer refit all their lighting switches to use occupancy sensors in an energy conservation measure. I assume this saved money.
I'm trying to do the same for the bathrooms in my home, since the 2 males who live with me only seem to know how to turn lights on ;->
Did you make this proposal to your college? I'm curious how this worked out.
