well first you pull the toilet. Turn off the water valve to the toilet, and then flush it to get all the water out of the tank. (you can also use a cup to get the remaining water out of the bowl. Unbolt the toilet and unhook the water line. lift the toilet (use a rocking motion to pry it loose from the old wax ring) and put in somewhere out of the way, and on a
piece of cardboard or something that is disposeable.
Change the wax ring, and reverse the process.
