i have tried the damper in various positions. some help a little but none solve the problem. no outside intake avalable. i have also thought about the taller stack, but dont know how to determine if that is the solution and if the builder should be responsible for the repair. i am out of the 1 year warranty period but he was made aware of the issue within 3 mo. of the time we bought.
