I live in the SE and there are quite a few homes built in the early 90s use particle board for a subfloor. Imagine that in all this humidity.
Anyway, a flooring installer suggested that I replace the particle board with 3/4 plywood because I run into numerous interference issues if I add 1/2" plywood.
My new question are: How difficult is it to remove the old particleboard? Should I use a CDX, a regular b-c plywood or try and fit T & G ply?
