I have an 80 year old house of board and batten construction, the same boards forming the inside and outside walls. The boards under some of the windows have begun to protrude at the point where they touch the window sill. The house was recently leveled to help delay further deterioration but needs more work. However, I do not want to do any major restoration at this point. How can the boards below the windows be pulled back in flush with the walls without any obvious changes to the apprearance.
